"Journeys for Justice in Libya": Publication of the A2JiL final report and three related policy briefs

The final research report on the Access to Justice in Libya project is available on the website, together with three policy briefs expanding on key aspects of the research.

The final report of the project is now available on the website. Entitled "Journeys for justice in Libya and how to facilitate them: research on people, problems, laws, institutions, and practices", it is the product of six years of intensive research acros Libya on different dimensions of access to justice. Throughout different project phases, a team of Libyan and Dutch researchers addressed access to justice from the perspective of justice seekers and justice providers, resulting in a rich image of the 'journeys for justice' undertaken by ordinary Libyans in past and modern-day Libya.

The final report is complemented with three policy briefs, which expand on different key elements identified in the research which are of importance to achieve access to justice in Libya. These include policy briefs on the problems related to slowness of justice; on the role of public lawyers; and on the need for a National Strategy on Access to Justice in Libya.

All research outputs can be found on the website under Research Output.
